We decided to start this blog to follow our trials and errors while taking highly budgeted meals and making them something better, more like the meals you would normally pay $20 a plate for. None of us have any formal cooking training or experience. Unless you want to count some random years in food service working for hospitals, hospitality, and resorts.

We fully understand that there are times where financially you can’t shine at your best. We’ve been there. From living in shelters, getting food from the local community pantry and food bank, and being donated from churches to just simply not eating.
